We Will NOT Be Adding to Our Pet Collection

A few weeks back, the girls that live up the street stopped by in hopes of "donating" their pet mice to us. The were including the cage, wheel and bedding for free. Apparently their mom said they have too many pets, "the mice keep having babies", so they need to find a new home for them. So we are prime candidates for dumping their rodants.

So this fueled the boys desire to getting another pet. Besides the two dogs we have and the 6 or so fish we already have-they would like to add to our collection. The mice were a no brainer-NO! The rabbit was considered-but with two beagles, bad mix, so NO! A duck-that the sales person tried to convience us to "let play in our bath tub once a week" was a-NO! And a cat-well just NO!

Since the boys are still working hard at taking care of the animals/fish that we have, we are very grateful for our neighbor's visiting cat.

Check out Addie's shoes!!!!

I kid you not they were all begging for a cat. Even Addie who barely talks knew how to beg with her expressions!!

So for now we are family of 5 with 2 dogs and 6 fish. I think that makes a perfect family!

Tired

Just feel like I need be real:

I'm tired of this rain.
I'm tired of the cold.
I'm tired of the dreary days.
I'm tired of doubting myself.
I'm tired of not good enough.
I'm tried of whining.
I'm tired of listening to whining.
I'm tired of food shopping.
I'm tired of parenting the tough days.
I'm tired of over-analysing.
I'm tired of routine.
I'm tired of mixing up routine.
I'm tired of not liking to look at myself.
I'm tired of sugar.
I'm tired of mediocre.
I'm tired of being tired.

However-Saturday's forecast is for sunny and highs near 80. I feel as if it will begin to look up around here.

So this sums it up...

Mark and I were on vacation together this past week. Mark had not had time off since last August-so this was huge. We were suppose to visit Tommy and Amanda in Long Island but Olivia was sick. We didn't go anywhere special or do anything too exciting but we got lots done around the house. Spring clean up in the yard, the electrial work was completed for the pool, laundry, painted, laundry, cleaned up to host Easter and some more laundry. We also went on several walks and went to the park on those days that did not rain. Grammy and Aunt Dina went to California while we got to babysit Grampa a few of those days.

Our family room is making progress!! We got some great finds at IKEA (hutch, bookshelf and an AWESOME swing).

The book nook.

(YES- those are all toys! The toys are typically hidden, the closet doors are off because we painted!)

Saturday cartoons are a big hit around here!

Easter Sunday. Addie has some goodies stored in her cheeks!
I have some pictures and videos stored on my cell phone of the Tae Kwon Do. The boys have been taking Tae Kwon since January. Hayden and Logan both took their first test a few weeks ago and Hayden is a yellow belt and Logan is a junior yellow belt. They both got to break wood doing an ax kick which they were both very proud of. And since Addie joins almost all classes that we go to-she too has picked up on several commands! If I ever upload them to the computer I will share.
Happy Easter to all.
