Alright Already

It is STILL snowing.

I don't even know how much snow we have gotten.
But am super thankful for the fact that we have electricity-
as many of our family and friends do not.

All I know is I cannot wait to use these by the pool!

I've Learned A Lot Today

This sums it up-

Galatians 6:4-6

4 Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others.5 Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life.6 Be very sure now, you who have been trained to a self-sufficient maturity, that you enter into a generous common life with those who have trained you, sharing all the good things that you have and experience.

I'm blessed with this new adventure God has placed on my heart. And I'm very grateful for the support of my family and friends.

More to come.

Feet

My friend Erin, from high school had her 3rd baby last month. Her first two are the same age as Logan and Addie and it has been so nice to be back in each others lives again.

I offered to do a photo shoot and she agreed. It allowed me to play with "the camera" and it was a ton of fun with much success. And all I'll say is- it was super stinking cute to see a newborn baby girl again, a tiny sweet peanut that smelled so good and had clothes smaller than Addie's baby dolls and wore a stinking cute purple hat and a paci and was tiny...you get the drift right.

Snowed In

I think everyone has blogged about snow lately...so I'll join you. The snow that is coming down has given me a 4 day weekend and I honestly am loving it. The kids and I have been having so much fun. I love when you have those days that remind you of all the important stuff in life and gratitude hits you right in the heart.

It's funny what a snow backdrop does for photographs and how Light changes things up. Literally and figuratively. And ironically it's interesting what these two photos catch with the flash on and off.
Stay warm...preferably on this side of the window!

LMAO

I've been recognizing for awhile now that what is "cool" is user-defined and user-judged. One thing Mark and I have always agreed on when we first spoke of having kids and still stands true to this day-we want to be the cool parents. While parenting deems many "uncool" qualities-I hope we are remembered for stuff like this:
