Chocolate Everything

Thanks to the honeymoon couple we will be heading out of town for a few days to Hershey Park! The kids still don't know and I can't wait to see their faces when we tell them! We are joining Tommy, Amanda and Olivia at Hershey for our first official vacation with them in 7 years! Talk about overdue!

Curly Hair Gone Wild

So this is what happens when you brush curly hair with a coarse brush. VOLUME Sha Pow! The kids took me to the spa this morning. They did my hair, put lotion on me, gave me a massage-it was wonderful. Simplicity at its finest. My new summer slogan is "It's all about today".

Addie's

Today completed the assembly of a three part ordeal-putting together Addie's new bedroom furniture from Ikea. I feel as if Mark and I just went through "Ikea's Assembly Boot Camp". Last night was her first official night in her big girl bed. She loves it and every time she goes in there (or sees me upload the new pictures) she reminds everyone, very boldly- very clearly-that it's "Addie's". Oh and I got her to sit on her new dresser so I can put piggy tails in, and so far almost an hour later, she still has them in.

She's Two

This week has been full of celebrating Addie's birthday. We had her party this past weekend and yesterday for her big day we went to Norwalk Aqurium to see "fehs". My baby is 2. Addie is full of hugs, smiles, giggles, no's, collection of shoes, clothes and baby loving. We love you so much Addie. Happy Birthday sweet girl.

Babysitting

In our backyard-there is a Robin's nest with two birds in it, a watchful mama Robin and papa Robin, a really adorable fawn and a *@_* rabbit. So we've been doing a lot of observing lately and thanks to Mark the kids now have binoculars! What a great homeschooling lesson. And this has been our entertainment! Addie loves the birds, Hayden loves the fawn and Logan loves the rabbit. Except when Logan runs outside and chases the rabbit away without telling me! So no images of the rabbit-the rabbit that destroyed ALL of our sunflowers! We were doing a report on sunflowers, we were to report how many bumblebees we see on the flowers-however Mr. (I have no idea it's gender, but I'm assuming it's a male) Rabbit has been munching away. Please say a prayer that it stays away from our garden until we can fence it up tomorrow! And that is only a sneak peak at our day!!

The bumblebees have re-routed to my peonies!

Babies!

Mama Addie.

The fawn stood up for 10 seconds and laid back down! The mama just came back about a half hour ago for the baby. It was out there all alone all day. Gee-maybe I should have been a Mama Deer!!

No way-I wouldn't trade being a mom with these guys. I'm reminded as the day quiets down to smell the flowers-the flowers that the kids help water and take care of. I promise to awake tomorrow with a better spirit! Sweet Dreams.

Family Movie Night

We decided to change things up and rent a movie for family night. They were able to narrow it down to "Bedtime Stories" or "Night at the Museum". Bedtime Stories won and everyone really enjoyed it-very cute and really funny. Of course Hayden is nervous about having to return it and has been watching it over and over again. And luckily for me-I get to hear one of my favorite parts again and again. I suppose I shouldn't have mentioned it to Hayden-but honestly he hasn't managed to play it out, yet! If I could, I would be playing it over Playlist, but no such luck.

Sweet Dreams!

It's a Good Morning

Mark's sleeping, Logan just woke up, Hayden woke at 7:50am and little miss was up at 6:30am. I feel the coffee finally kicking in and believe it's going to be a productive and fun day.

PS It's an electronic kind of morning, Logan is playing his Leapster, Hayden is watching for the 20th time-"Bedtime Stories" on the DVD player and Addie is "playing" Hayden's Leapster while watching the movie!! And I of course am on my laptop!

Just Wondering

What's the remedy for not one room in the house being clean or tidy?

Happy Anniversary!

7 years later...

Although I may be cracking out on my new laptop (wireless non-the-less) and Mark is at work, what may have seemed impossible 7 years ago is undoubtedly true: I love Mark more today than I did on our wedding day. I've come to find out that although life has been busy and our relationship has gone through interruptions-there is such a simplicity to our marriage even while on hold-we stick together and know that the storm will calm. The band Live has been such an large part of our lives the past couple of months and as I sit here writing, I'm listening to a song that has truly defined our relationship.
So instead of rephrasing-here are the lyrics to "Forever". I have a shout out to Mark-I love you bud, here's to FOREVER!

Forever (Lyrics by Edward Kowalczyk)

Looking for desert rain in the corners of my mind
Feelin so far away from the source of love divine
Two travelers on the road
Just a book of secrets and trouble on every side
Keep holdin my hand tonight
As we face this furnace something tells me

That we can run from these flames
Or we can stand together in faith

Forever and ever
The darker the night the brighter the dawn
Forever and ever
I’ll stay here with you til the end of the storm

Babe look where we’ve come from
Look what we’ve been through
Remember the times we were spared
When we didn’t know what to do
The enemy’s at the door
And here we are again déjà vu

Now we can run from this place
Or we can stand together in faith

Forever and ever
The darker the night the brighter the dawn
Forever and ever
I’ll stay here with you til the end of the storm

Troubled times will come
With vengeance and spite in their eyes
But Love’s will be done
