Boy

So "they" said boys will boys-if you have a boy you're bound to make a visit to the ER. Well that day came true today. Logan angrily ran into his dresser and cut himself centimeters from his eye. They had to give him numbing needles and 3 stitches. He was a champ! Once the blood stopped dripping...which was by the time we left the house, he was fine. He was brave, so brave that he never cried again after we left the house to go to the ER. Today goes on record the longest video game playing day ever!

So I was the parent on duty when this happened so while I recognize it was an accident I feel awful that it happened to begin with. And I was the honoree to drive him to the ER and hold his hand while he was getting the stitches. None of this earns bragging rights-but the best part of today was that I got to be pals with my son, one on one for a good part of the day. Sad that it took all of this to happen, but the spending that time together was priceless.

For PETE'S Sake

Literally and figuratively-"for Pete's sake"! We said when we bought our house 6 years ago that it would have to be resided. So the day has come, they started ripping off the old stuff-so long to that powder blue ^@*% and hello to...

PS-I know we have video of the house when we first bought it-but I'm on the hunt for a picture!

The Beach

We're back from the beach...and missing it big time!
We had a blast! (I'm regretting that I did not take more family pictures the night we ate down at the beach. The picture of Logan is just a sample of the amazing light! And oddly enough Logan was the only one that would let me take pictures.) We enjoyed the beach and the rain stayed away. We did some shopping, ate dinner out, got to have ice cream every night thanks to Grammy & Grampa (another regret that I didn't take a picture of his Banana Boat Sundae he splurged on), played games on the balcony, Addie was the trooper and was the only one who slept with Auntie Di Di-her first sleepover and the last night we got to see Barnaget Lighthouse. That's it until next year!
